The Palmach Museum, according to my dad, is very cool, but the day we visited happened to be closed. Something for us to do next time.
Hint - call ahead - 03-6436393, they do best with large groups and will find one for you.

Dad guessed the popular street our hotel is on, Dizengoff, was named after the cities first mayor - and he was right! Credit to Dr. Greene!
